It’s a simple swap, just like our other Reskinned takeback programmes.
Mint Velvet designs clothes to be worn for years, but sometimes your style just changes, something stops fitting like it used to, or you find yourself reaching for a different item more and more. It happens, even to the best stuff. Not many of us are still wearing all the exact same things we did ten years ago, even the ones we loved the most.
Through Reskinned, you can pass on the genuine Mint Velvet pieces you've stopped wearing and receive up to £20 off a future purchase at mintvelvet.com. Your discount depends on the types of items you send back, with a maximum total takeback value of £20.
The pieces you return will be resold, repurposed or responsibly recycled, helping to keep more clothing and materials in circulation for longer.
One thing to know before you start: items need to be freshly cleaned, ready to wear and in good condition, without holes or heavy damage. Think: ready for their next wardrobe.

HOW THE MINT VELVET TAKEBACK WORKS
Ready to give those unworn favourites somewhere new to go? Here's how to get started.
- Pick your pieces. Gather any Mint Velvet clothes and shoes you're ready to pass on. Check that everything is clean, in good condition and ready to wear again.
- Head online. Visit Mint Velvet's Takeback page and follow the takeback instructions to register your eligible items.
- Pack them up. A clean, sturdy delivery box or mailing bag you already have is perfect. No need to buy fresh packaging for your pre-loved clothes, just make sure you secure the package.
- Send them on their way. Follow the return instructions provided through the takeback service, and we’ll make sure we process it as soon as it arrives at our warehouse.
- Put your reward to use. Once your takeback has been processed, use your discount code for up to £20 off full-priced items at mintvelvet.com, with a minimum spend of £50.
Your code is valid for three months from the date it's issued, so give it a home somewhere you'll remember. An inbox folder is probably safer than “I'll definitely remember that.” (Not speaking from personal experience or anything 👀).
HOW MUCH ARE YOUR PIECES WORTH?

For example, an eligible coat and a t-shirt would take you to the £20 maximum. A dress on its own would give you £10 towards your next full-priced purchase of £50 or more.
These are discount values towards a future purchase, rather than cash payments. And it’s worth noting that sending more items won't increase your total reward beyond £20.
WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PRE-LOVED PIECES?

Through Reskinned, the pieces you send back can follow one of three routes:
Resale: Clothes that can be worn again get the chance to find someone new to wear them. That dress you've moved on from might be exactly what someone else has been looking for.
Repurposing: Where resale isn't the right route, pieces can be repurposed to give them another use.
Responsible recycling: Items that can't be resold or repurposed are responsibly recycled, helping to recover materials from the clothes that have reached the end of their wearable life.
The aim is to make more of what's already here: good clothes deserve more time out in the world.

Eligible genuine Mint Velvet womenswear and footwear, including the categories listed above. Only Mint Velvet branded items qualify for discount credit. Items from other brands won't earn a reward and will be responsibly recycled.
What condition do my items need to be in?
Freshly cleaned, ready to wear and in good condition, with no holes or heavy damage. Give everything a quick check before you pack it up.
How much is the reward?
You'll receive a discount code worth up to £20, depending on the eligible items you return. The total takeback value is capped at £20, and your code can be used on full-priced items with a minimum spend of £50.
How long do I have to use my code?
Three months from the date it's issued. Each code can only be used once, and you must enter it at checkout. It can't be applied after you've placed your order.
Can I use my code in the store?
No. The programme is currently online only, and codes can only be redeemed at mintvelvet.com. They aren't valid in stores, concessions or outlets yet!
Can I combine it with another offer?
You can use one takeback code per transaction, and it can't be combined with another offer or discount code. Codes can't be used against sale items, gift cards, gift wrap or delivery charges.
What happens if I return something I bought using my code?
You'll be refunded the discounted price you paid for the returned item. Your takeback code can't be used again after the return.
Is the programme available outside the UK?
It's currently open to UK customers only.
