Esska is now live on Reskinned, and this is a partnership we think you’re going to love. Esska has been designing shoes in West London since 2006. They specialise in comfortable, well-crafted footwear that doesn't ask you to choose between looking good and actually being able to walk in them (ladies, we’re sure you know our pain here). Two decades in, they're still made by skilled artisans in Portugal, using premium leathers and vegan materials. The kind of shoes that don't go out of style, which also means they don't go out of wearability either.
You can now shop pre-loved Esska shoes on Reskinned at up to 60% off the original retail price. Like always with Reskinned, every pair has been assessed, cleaned and verified before it's listed. And if you've got a pair at home gathering dust, the new Esska Takeback programme lets you send them back and get a £15 voucher towards your next pair.
Esska was founded in 2006 by Souraya, who was frustrated by a problem that sounds simple but apparently wasn't: shoes were either comfortable or stylish, rarely both. She started with a single sandal, designed in her spare room in West London.
The brand has grown considerably since then. Seven office moves, a full collection, stockists across the UK, but Souraya still runs it, and the original brief hasn't changed. Style and comfort, made properly, built to last. The shoes are crafted by artisans in Portugal using premium leathers and vegan materials, and Esska is, to put it plainly, obsessive about comfort.
That obsession is also why a takeback programme makes sense. Shoes built this carefully tend to outlast their first owner (and often their second owner too).
Most pre-loved fashion programmes exist because brands know they should do something. The Esska Takeback exists because the product genuinely warrants it. These shoes were made to be worn for years: passed on, worn again, kept in circulation rather than being retired to landfill. Shoes this good last the test of time.
The mechanic is simple. Return your pre-loved Esska shoes through our takeback programme, and once the pair has been received and verified, you'll get a £15 discount code to spend at EsskaShoes.com. It’s as simple as it sounds (maybe even simpler).
How it works:
Taking part is completely free. Drop your pre-loved Esska shoes back, and you'll get a £15 voucher to spend on your next pair. There’s no catch, just a simple way to do the right thing and get something back for it.
Every pair that arrives at Reskinned gets assessed by hand. Shoes in good condition are cleaned, ozone-cleansed to remove bacteria and odour, and professionally checked before being listed on the Reskinned resale store.
Ozone cleansing is a water-free cleaning process that uses ozone gas to break down bacteria, odours and organic matter at a molecular level. It's used across professional garment and textile care precisely because it gets to the things a surface clean can't: the bacteria living in the lining, the odour absorbed into the material, the invisible wear that comes with a shoe that's actually been worn. The result is a pair that comes out genuinely clean, not just visually presentable.
After that, each pair gets a full condition check before it goes to our online store.
Shoes that need more work go to our in-house repair team first. Re-heeling, replacing laces, polishing, practical restoration that brings a pair back into wear rather than writing it off. Once they pass inspection, they're listed alongside everything else.
Pairs beyond repair are responsibly recycled, and nothing ever goes to landfill.
Pre-loved Esska footwear is now on Reskinned, at up to 60% off the original retail price. Which, by any measure, is a good day.
Esska designs don't chase trends, which means a pair from two or three seasons ago doesn't look like it's from two or three seasons ago. It just looks like a well-chosen shoe: the kind that makes people ask where you got them over and over again, and you get to say "oh, these old things,” with secret glee.
Every pair has been through the full Reskinned process. Ozone-cleansed, professionally assessed, graded and listed with a clear condition description. You know exactly what you're getting before it lands on your doorstep, which is more than can be said for most online shopping.
Browse second-hand Esska sandals, flats, boots and more. New pairs come through as the takeback grows, so it's worth a regular look. The right pair has a habit of turning up when you're supposed to be buying something else.
Not every brand is built for resale. Shoes that were made quickly, from materials chosen for margin rather than longevity, don't tend to have a second life worth living. Esska shoes are different. Crafted in Portugal, built to be worn for years, designed by someone who really and truly cared whether they'd still look good in three seasons' time.
That's the kind of shoe worth taking back.
The Esska Takeback closes a loop that should exist for all of our favourite brands. You return a pair you're no longer wearing, get £15 to spend on your next pair, and the shoes go on to find someone new. Everyone wins, including the shoes.
For you, it means your pre-loved Esskas don't end up in a bag for landfill. It means the pair you loved gets worn again by someone who'll love them just as much. And it means you've got a good excuse to treat yourself to something new, with a discount already in your inbox.
Which Esska items are eligible for the takeback? The programme accepts any genuine Esska footwear: sandals, flats, boots, whatever you've got sitting in the back of the wardrobe. As long as it's Esska, it's eligible. If you're not sure whether a pair qualifies, the takeback tool will guide you through it.
How much is the reward? You'll receive a £15 discount code to spend at EsskaShoes.com once your return has been received and verified. Is the Esska Takeback free? Yes, completely free. No postage fees or hidden costs. Reuse a box or bag you already have, drop it at your nearest courier point, and that's it.
What happens if my shoes can't be resold? If a pair is too worn to resell, our repair team will assess whether it can be restored first. If not, it gets responsibly recycled. Nothing sent to Reskinned ends up in landfill.
How long does the process take? Once your parcel arrives at Reskinned, most returns are processed within a few working days. You'll receive your £15 code by email as soon as your items have been verified.
Do I need to create an account? There’s no account needed to take part. Head to takeback.reskinned.clothing/esska, follow the steps, and you're done.
